Why This Matters to You

Granting manager access means your Google Business Profile stays active, visible, and working for you--without you managing it.

⏱️ 10 Minutes to Set Up
That's all it takes. Follow these steps, grant access, and you're done.

📊 What Google Business Profile Manages

Local search visibility
Customer questions & answers
Business hours & info
Review responses
Posts & announcements
Photo galleries
📱
Mobile-First
90% of local searches happen on mobile. Your Google listing is where customers find you.
Trust Builder
Active profiles with reviews build trust instantly. Dormant profiles lose credibility.
📞
Direct Calls
Google listing click-to-call button drives qualified phone calls directly to your business.
📱
This is Safe & Simple
Google built this system specifically so business owners stay in complete control while delegating the work. You remain the owner. We get execution authority. That's it. You don't need to understand how Google's systems work -- just follow the 5 steps below.
🔒
Your Account Stays Secure
You never share your password. We use a permission system Google built--safe, reversible, auditable.

Three Permission Levels

Choose what fits. You decide the control level.

🔐 Your Role
Owner
Full control. Everything. This is your account.
  • Delete the profile
  • Remove anyone
  • Change ownership
  • Control all permissions
This stays with you. Forever. Never give this to anyone.

How Control Flows Between You & Us

🔐 You (Owner)
📄 Us (Manager)
You: Full control, stay owner, can remove access anytime
Us: Execute the work, manage profile, report results
Manager
Full execution authority. No nuclear buttons.
This is what we request. Everything we need to manage your profile professionally.

Step 1: Go to Your Business Profile

This takes about 60 seconds.

1
Visit Google Business
Go to: google.com/business
(Make sure you're signed in with your business Google account)
  • Open this link in your web browser
  • Sign in with the email that owns your business
  • You'll see your profile dashboard
Pro Tip: Use the same Google account you've always used for your business. Don't create a new one.
Don't see your profile? It might not be created yet, or you might be signed into the wrong Google account. Check the email address in the top right corner.
You're ready for Step 2.

Step 2: Find "Users and Permissions"

This is where you control access.

2
Locate Access Settings
In your profile dashboard:
  • Look at the left menu (the sidebar)
  • Scroll down until you see "Users and permissions"
  • Click it
  • You're now in the access management area
What you'll see: A list of anyone currently with access to your profile. Right now, it's probably just you.
Can't find it? Google occasionally moves menu items. Try using the search function in the menu (usually top left) and search for "permissions."
Ready for Step 3.

Step 3: Add a New User

This invites us to manage your profile.

3
Invite Prime Local Growth
In the "Users and permissions" section:
  • Click the "+" button (or "Add user")
  • Enter this email address: primelocalgrowth@gmail.com
  • A permissions window will appear
  • A dropdown menu shows different permission levels
Important Note on Email (May 2026): Google Business Profile manager access requires a Gmail account. We use primelocalgrowth@gmail.com for all our client management. This is the Google-standard way to manage business profiles securely. Your email (the owner account) can be anything--Gmail or non-Gmail. The manager email must be Gmail.

Before You Move Forward

I have the correct email address
The spelling is exactly right
I'm ready to select permissions

Step 4: Select "Manager" Permission

This is the critical step. Choose correctly.

4
Grant Manager Access
In the permissions dropdown:
  • Click the dropdown menu
  • Select "Manager" (NOT "Owner")
  • Review the email one more time
  • Click "Invite" or "Send"
This is critical: Choose "Manager" from the dropdown. "Owner" gives too much control. "Manager" is exactly what we need.
✓ Choose This

Manager

Full execution. Safe. Exactly right for us.

✗ Don't Choose This

Owner

Too much control. Too risky. Not what we need.

Step 5: We Accept & Confirm

The process completes itself.

5
Verification
After you send the invite:
  • We'll receive an email invitation
  • We'll click the acceptance link
  • We'll verify we can see your dashboard
  • We'll send you a confirmation message
Timing: This usually completes within a few minutes. Sometimes Google takes up to 24 hours to sync the access across its systems.
If something doesn't work: We'll let you know immediately. Most issues are simple (browser cache, email typo, or Google needing time). We'll fix it together.
🎉
That's it. You're done. No more steps. We handle the rest.

You Stay in Complete Control

These safeguards keep everything secure. You remain the owner.

🔐
Your Password Never Leaves Your Hands
We never ask for it. We don't need it. Manager access uses Google's permission system--no passwords required.
You Can Remove Access Anytime
Go back to "Users and permissions" and click the X next to our name. Access gone instantly. No questions.
👀
You Can Check What We're Doing
Google logs every action on your profile. You can review the activity history anytime. Transparency built in.
✓ You Should

Enable 2FA

✗ Never

Share Your Password

Even with us. That's what Manager access is for. Your password stays private.

Active Management
Posts, responses, engagement. Profile works for you.
⚠️ May 2026 Algorithm Update
Active Profiles Now Rank 35-50% Higher
Google's ranking algorithm now heavily prioritizes response time (under 24 hours), post freshness, and customer engagement signals. Profiles with active management rank 35-50% higher in local search than dormant ones. This is no longer optional--it's the difference between getting calls and being invisible.
📊
Your visibility starts improving immediately. Your phone will ring more often.

You're Ready

A few minutes of your time.

Then your profile works for you.
